The Chancel Choir sings for Sunday morning worship service and other special services. The Choir is open to all who like to sing; no audition or special training is required. The choir is made up primarily of non-professionals, many of whom knew very little about music before joining. The Choir rehearses on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM; anyone who would like to serve God and their church through the gift of song is welcome and encouraged to attend a rehearsal.
The Joy Choir consists of children ages 3-5 (may or may not include kindergartners). During the school year, it meets every Sunday morning at 10:50 AM in the Expanded Session classroom. In the Joy Choir, children learn to sing the more familiar church songs and have fun, too! This choir sings 1-2 times per year for our congregation during morning worship.
The Alleluia Choir, for children in Elementary School, meets at 10:30 AM, immediately following Sunday School in the Jean Montgomery Memorial Choir Room on the 2nd floor. The choir meets regularly during the school year to work on anthems and special music to be sung during our morning worship service and at services such as the Lighting of the Chrismon Tree at Advent.
